At my next consultation, I book in
for a second surgery, which will be eight weeks after my first
operation. I'm conscious this isn't the consultant or his colleagues'
recommendation, which was to take the Tamoxifen. Giles doesn't seem surprised at
my decision however, having gauged my instinctive reaction from earlier
discussions.
I also receive a further injection of
saline to increase the expansion of my temporary implant. It is tight and solid
to touch, but not painful. I need to be careful not to give my husband a black
eye...
